sooo this month i would just like to imagine as being a nightmare and forget it ever happend actually it seems like a lot of online grinders had a bad january but yeah im right in there with them. so at the begining of the month online poker was going decent i was up like 6 buyins within the first week or so and then bam doom switch i lost that 6 buy ins and then 11 more within the next 3 weeks. since my last post i went on a really good hot streak and won 15 buyins in 2 days and was looking like i was actually going to end the month with positive results and then the next 2 days i lost 10 buyins today i played 3k hands and was actually able to recover 2 buyins so for the month i am down 3 buyins at the tables. so my bankroll for online is sitting at 1830$
even though im down at the casgames the wbcoop went decent for me, i played 5 out of the 6 tourneysi went deep in one and finished 28th for a 33$ scoop ticket and i cashed in 2 others for 11$ scoop tickets, the main event didnt go so good for me i made a big bluff that should have worked but got called down so that was that for me pretty much. the series went well though and even though it was tournaments for registered bloggers there were a lot of bad players and i was actually surprised by the bad play up untill the really late stages of the tourney but im fine with my performance there. also i was able to clear 2 stellar awards for 10$ each so even though im down at the cash games for the month my bankroll is up for the month thanks to the bonuses and the wbcoop tickets. the only thing is i have to use the scoop tickets for the tournaments i cant cash the tourney dollars for real dollars i have to play the tournaments but some good might come of that who knows.
as far as live poker goes this month was horrible for that as well (SURPRISE). so at the begining of the month i was still in the midst of the downswing and fell down to 4825$ for my live roll. then i hit a really hot week and was at 6825$. this last week was pretty lame though. i never really went anywhere just up and down and these past few days werent really nice and i lost like half my winnings for the month, i finished the month 450$ up so just over 2 buyins up YESSS!!!! so my roll for live sits at 5950$. the more i play 1/2nl live the more i think doing any kind of intelligent bluff is out of the question, i mean the basic bluffs and scare spots that come up seem profitable but anything after that seems horrible and another note bluff catching at 1/2nl is not recomended either. small bluff catchers like 10-15bb spots dont seem so horrible but like 20bb spots and over seem like a bad idea. both situations are causing problems for me this past week. im gonna go about things next month a little differently wich means playing a pretty much straightforward game except against certain players and certain spots so it might be a bit boring this next month but maybe ill be able to show better results at the live tables.
for the month i do feel like i was running bad and on the negative side of varriance, for online play im down 5 buyins when all the money went in and and that doesnt count the times people sucked out on me on the turn and other things. this month though i wanted to take a more aggressive approach at the online tables to try and change my showdown winnings and i have a reall big difference in my non shodown winnings compared to last month, but my showdown winnings were also down a bit, a little from showning more hands down but also from getting bad beats so i dont think its accurate imformation to make a summary about, but i am pleased in my nonshowndown winnings and ill make sure im aggressive in certain spots from now on. anyways heres the decebers and januarys graphs for compairason
this post is a bit longer than i wanted it to be but i had a bit to say i guess anyways heres the numbers
online cashgames: -30$
scoop tickets: 55$
stellar reward: 20$
live cashgames: +450$
-----------------------
+495$

sunday recap
alright well this week has been entertaining i suppose ill start with poker. so to start the week i think my live roll was at 6800 or 6500 i cant remember anyway it didnt really go anywhere im sitting at 6600 so play for this week was pretty breakeven for live poker. online poker was still going shitty for me and like on wednesday or thursday i checked my hem and i had 70,000 hands at 10nl i had a profit of .02 cents. thats right a 70k breakeven stretch at 10nl. if you want i will allow degrading comments and hatefull emails as well so have at it. it did turn around slighty after being down to -10 buyins for the month i was able to get back into it and now im only down -3.5 buyins so who knows i might be able to breakeven this month. as far as volume goes thats an epic fayul. i have like 34k hands in this month wich is horrible for 24 tabling. but on my behalf the month up to now was going pretty weak so i havnt been spending much time online but even if i do break even it is fine with me seeing how thats what im trying to acieve at least while trying to improve my play. also signed up at dueces cracked and have watched a few videos so far. first off i watched a video from 2008 about abc play and all i can say is wow. there perception of playing a solid game in 2008 is so far behind in stratagey now which just goes to show you how fast the game improves and advances, also they did a short thing on table selection and they had a shot of 50nl talbe with the stats in the lobby and like the least amount of players per flop were 25% but most of them were between 35%-45% and all of the tables had high average pots. which just goes to show you how weak the games were only 2 years ago and how solid even the micros are becoming. that was a 50nl too! its almost like online poker is becoming a true break even venture. wich isnt totally true cause there will always be fish and the hard workers will end up with the money but its deffinitley getting a lot harder. one video i watched was from a guy who also coaches and he sayed that when he has students that play at the micros he really urges them to move up to higher limits once they have a decent understanding of the game and decent stratagey, if they have money for a bankroll that is. i feel the same way with my game i really do feel like i have a solid game and understanding of the game to at least beat 50nl. but i dont want to jump to that quite yet. though i am really leaning towards depositing more money once i start working in the summer again and move up to 25nl and im pretty sure i will unless i just have horribly bad results this winter then i wont but most likely i will. also i was reading a thread on 2+2 about abc poker and one of the regulars on there defined it really well he said that abc poker isnt a certain style or way to play poker. it means making the right moves at the right times and situations. so that could me you only flat call a nit with qq to play the flop out instead of 3betting or 4 bet bluffing a lag with high 3bet percentages. which could all be deffintions of abc playing. which i totally agree with his statement. he also said one of the happiest time in poker for him was when holdem manager labeled him as "abc" after reading that i quickly opened hem and checked my label and yep im labeled as abc wich just gives me that much more reasurance that i have a decent understanding of the game and how to go about things. (even though im just breaking even right now :S ) but yeah so things are moving a long in poker but this month is kinda bleh so far.
as for life this week i think it might be the most enjoyment that ive had since ive been here. nothing super special but i was just enjoying the opportunities that living in vegas has to offer. seeing how online poker was going badly at the start of the week on wednesday i decided to go to the grandcanyon and although i was alone cause i ma loser lol it was still a really good time and its an experience i cant put into words but i deffinitley recomend going if you have the chance. then thursday i went to the shark reef at mandalay bay wich was pretty cool as well. i think i went somwhere else to but cant remember.
now for last night so i went to surrender in the encore took a little bit to get in. there was like large amounts of people in the "reserved table" line and in the "invited guest" line as for the general admission line which is where i was standing there was probablly about 10 people all of which didnt feel like dropping 60$ online to get into the club 30 minutes faster. anyway after getting in and getting a drink i checked out the whole club. its a lot like xs but a little smaller theyve got a back area where there are pools for the summer time and then a small gambling area with a craps table and like 5 or 6 blackjack tables and then a seperate bar. in the main part of the club where the dj is posted up theres not really that much of a dance floor which is a bit of a downside to the club but on the other hand i found it a lot easier to talk to girls in surrender than i did in xs. if i would compare the two i would say xs is more for people wanting to ahve a really good time in the club atmosphere and dance the night away and have fun but surrender i would say is more open for meeting people having fun and a bit of dancing as well. as far as any "action" goes well i guess im just gay. you guys can label me as that i suppose. i mean i do talk to girls and everytime ive went out ive had a couple dances including last night with a really pretty girl that i want to have babies with. but besides that i lack bigtime trying to get them out of the club and into the sheets. i had a plan last night of just having fun in the club and then after going to one of the stage bars in the casino and try and meet a girl which i did but right as i sat down the bartender told me they were closing. "epic fayul". so much for that plan. in my behalf though since ive been here ive only been out about 4 or 5 times where i actually tried to meet girls so i guess im just beating myself up haha. on a side note i went into the front building of my apartment complex to fax a peice of paper to my job and there was a really cute receptionist there. she faxed it for me and we exchanged a few short sentences and i left. i sat in my truck for like a minute and was like that a perfect opportunity to ask a girl out and i passed it up so i man'd up and went back in there asked if she was seeing anybody and if she wanted to go out for lunch. she sayed she had a serious boyfriend and was sorry but she couldnt. so either im running bad or she made a good bluff. more likely the second option. either way im glad i asked her cause she was really the only girl ive asked out on a date besides my ex girlfriends that didnt involve me being intoxicated so i might be getting some encouragment to talk to girls. i also want to her to have my babies but dont tell her boyfriend that.
anyways thats how the week has been hopefully i can get out of the red in online poker now that i have a chance and maybe make a couple big scores in live poker so i think the next post will be a month recap post unless somthing magical happens that i need to updat about so till then pedofiles stay tuned :)

holy views
ive been having a bit of thaughts in my head so far this week so ive decided to post them before i forget them before sunday. first off online poker is going pretty horrible i am on a pretty bad downswing, i am running well below ev but also the last few sessions ive played my play could have murdered superman. well not quite that horrible but you get the point. anyway i didnt play today for a couple of reasons one was just to give myself a little break from the grind, and the downswing, and also i wanted to expierience my vegas trip a little more than just poker, so today i got up at 11 and headed to the grand canyon. the spot that i went to is about 2.5 hours away and it has a glass walkway you can go out on that hangs out like 40 feet into the canyon.
i was going through a little bit of a slump and was like i need to do somthing other than poker and get my mind off of things and then the grand canyon popped in my head and i looked it up online and then i found that spot. its called sky walk if anyones interested. and yesterday my roll live roll was at 6825$ so i decided to delve into the 1/3nl game at the aria. things didt really go hot there and i lost 200$ which isnt that big of a deal just a random losing session. but i was thinking about my bankroll a lot in that game.i do feel like its better suits my style of play and i think i can be a winner in it but i dont want to have to worry about losing money if i play in it. i dont mind taking shots but if im going to play in agame for a substantial amount of time i want to be able to ride the swings that varriance will give. so im deciding to just play 1/2nl and occasionally play at the aria maybe on the weeknds or somthing. i think my last month or so here ill start playing bigger just cause its my last month maye even playing in some 2/5. also once i got home yesterday i was going over my play since its been a little while and i was thinking about finding more ways to improve my play and the thaught of online poker videos came into my head. i had this thaught in my head that i was going to wait till next year to start watching videos but i reasessed the situation. i could wait till next year but when i move to washington online poker will probablly still be illegal and i most likely wont be able to play besides live cardrooms so trying to introduce things i see on the videos will be harder in a live game vs. online. i could wait till i start working but even then i only have a few hours after work to do things and id rather play poker than watch poker. so it left me with subscribe now. ive never been against subscribing to a poker video website it was just me kinda being stubborn. pretty much the same feelings i had towards using hem but im glad i got hem and im sure i will be happy i subscribed. i ended up subscribing to dueces cracked if that matters. ive already watched a couple videos today and i can see myself improving a lot if i study the videos. usually whenever i get home from the casino i spend a couple hours online doing whatever before going to bed so i can easily fill that time with a video or 2 wich should be good. also i got my tourney ticket into the wbcoop so im not sure if it only allows you into 1 tourney or all 5 but ill be playing one of them anyway, maybe i can land a seat into the main event so fingers crossed. its been a while since ive spent a decent amount of time in tourneys so i know im rusty but oh well. tomorrow ill be starting my grind back up. i dont know if ill be able to get out of the red in online ive pretty much just lost all of my winnings from last month so its been an epic fayul this month but im still upbeat about it. live is going decent so hopefully i can score some more wins before the end of the month. oh and i plan on hittin the club this saturday too. im gonna go to club surrender in the encore so ill report how that goes on sunday. most likely the usuall with my head hung low with dissapointment so yeah i think that covers my thaughts ill post sunday and go recap the week

mid month review
so far the month is full of surprises and every week seems to be packed with entertainment since ive been here. i suppose i recap life for the month. ummmm yeah not much pretty much same stuff same routines i think i went out clubbing the weeknd after new years to club xs in the encore which is supposed to be a big hot spot and its a pretty poppin club. theyve actually got like a back area outside the club thats got a seperate bar and like 5 blackjack tables and a craps table. all in all the club was pretty fun but its so much more of a dance club than somwhere to meet girls. not that it cant be done but the only action i got was a few dances with some randoms so not much to speak of there. im taking it easy this weeknd but i plan on going on next weeknd and i think im gonna try to actually set myself up right for success this time (most likely not). ive been a bit lazy this last couple weeks as well and keep getting up around 1 which isnt horrible or anything its just i like to be up at 12 for some reason idk im weird. went to the bellagio one day and checked out the fountain show which was pretty cool it was my first time seeing it so i was entertained i think this week i might check out the shark reef at mandalay bay so that should be cool too.
as far as poker there has been a lot of crazy things going on. ok first to start off. it was like sometime last week i had a short run good period of like 3 days or somthing my bankroll was at 4825 before the upswing and then after i thaught i only won 1000 but i guess i forgot i put 1000 away with my other bankroll money so i thaught i only won 1000 but i really won 2000. which makes more sense to me cause after the upswing i was like i thaught i won more than 1k i didnt know it was 2k i thaught it was like 1.5k or somthin but hey that little suprise was very nice.so i was going into the week with 6825$ for my bankroll the week was pretty mediocre, the venetian has been dead this week so ive been playing at the mgm and things really didnt go anywhere i was playing against a huge drooler and got stacked when i had top 2 pair and he flopped a flush but the way he was playing i was putting my money in no matter what and then i lost another buy in in the next few days as well. for the weeknd i decided to play in the 1/3nl game at the aria which i actaully like a lot. for one the action is pretty soft its like inbetween venetian and mgm so theres a bit of bad players but some decent ones thrown in there as well. i like how it plays as well cause at the low limits the players are thinking in dollars and not big blinds which is one big mistake for them. so if you raise in 1/2nl to 6$ which is 3bb everyones calling you while laughing at you cause you only made it 6$ puney dollars. so my standard raise at the aria is 10$ wich is 3.3bb and people respect it more cause its 10 whole dollars they dont care if its 3bb or not but they dont want to spend 10$ so thats another reason why i like it. and its super fancy there as well. for the rest of the month i think ill be playing at the mgm on the weekdays and then the aria on the weeknds, the venetian starts there deepstack tourneys like the very end of january which will bring in a lot of people so ill start playing there again once that starts up. also if i can get my roll up to 7k then ill start playing at the aria rather than the mgm. currently my bankroll for live stis at 6425$ so im up 2425$ since ive been here. which is a little over a month.
as for online goes. well not much has been going at all...
so to start the month i was running pretty good then down and back up tipical swings of poker untill i hit a rough spell. this past week i have taken a few days off from online poker and today as well. the last few sessions i did play i was playing horrible and pretty much just had lack of enthusiasm and my play has been greatly affected by it. i do believe i can get myself out of this hole before the end of the month though i might not end the month with a lot of winnings but i think i can end it in the black. im going to start back up tomorrow and i feel my mind is refreshed and ill be refocused so im ready for it again. also this past week i saw a leak in my game that came out even more this past week and thats trying to bluff catch way too much with top pair. when theres a big situation and a tough laydown i can usually lay the hands down. but when the hand plays fast and theres like 40bb in the pot i dont give myself enough time to think and i end up trying to bluff catch way to much so im trying to make a concious effort to fix that a bit. on a side note the world blogging championship of online poker, or somthing like that is going on and the end of the month. if you have a poker blog for the past 2 months and post a thingy on your blog like i did on my last post you get to play in the satalites to try and make it to the main events. i havnt got my confrimation notice yet but i plan on playing in those so hopefully somthing will come of it who knows.
i think that about tops the month as of now. im really trying to have decent results this month even though online poker isnt going so hot right now. i dont remember what i started the month at for online but i think the graphs numbers are off just a tounch but my online roll sits at 1735$, and my live roll is at 6425$ so things are moving a long i suppose. but thats all for now folks stay tuned till next time you heathens

metaphorically inapropriate
well so far this week i am having mixed feelings about. to start the week off monday was pretty horrible for online poker at my high point i was up like 60$ (6 buy ins) and then fell to 20$ and kinda went up and down but 20$ seemed like where i was staying at and then monday hit and i just got my ass kicked by it there were 3 seperate times i got it in on the turn with a set and the evil villans sucked out on me but besides all the bad beats i was right at 0$ so i was breaking even for the month. and then tuesday wasnt much better and i lost like 5$ when it was all said and done and then today i was just playing like crap and was basically a calling stationed even got called a donk wouldnt you imagine that haha. so right now im sitting at like -20$ for the month. besides the last couple days i think i was playing decent and was up 6 buyins 2 seperate occasions but i feel it was just the way variance was going this week besides the days i played like crap. also i only play like 2500 hands a day or less if im running bad so right now i think i got like 17000 hands in which if i was playing 6-8 hours a day thats only 2 days of poker so its not much to talk about when you put it in that perspective.as for live poker things have turned around this week and within the pas 2 days i won 1000, monday went decent and i think i left with like 300 and then tuesday i went to the mgm cause the venetian was pretty much dead and i hit a heater and won like 7 or 800 there and today i went to the orleans and played for like 3 hours and won like 20 haha. one of the regulars that i played with at the venetian told me he had been playing at the orleans the past couple of days and that the players there are pretty bad and its easy money. so since the venetian was dead again i thaught id check it out. the orleans is off of tropicana and its like 3 or 4 blocks south of the palms off the strip. i think its like a major locals casino, and its actually a relatively big casino but that being said its realtively crappy too. its not a high end luxury casino to say the least. and the poker room is probablly as big as the venetians which i think the venetians is the biggest on the strip. but it was pretty busy and i think its like everyone who gets off of work who doesnt want to go to the strip goes there or thats what it seemed like. usually the regulars i run into are pretty tight. but these players were just bad if anyone has played at the mgm its pretty much the same calibur of play maybe slightly worse. but the poker room is kinda crappy as well its crazy though how you can go to one casino and then go to a different one and the players skills are drastically different its just weird to me. i think venetian is rated at having a better skill level than most though but im fine with it. back to the orleans though. the reason i only won 20$ there was cause i kept running into bigger hands and had to throw mine away i think i was up 100 at a point but yeah just the way the cards went i suppose. i think id rather play at mgm than orleans though just as a preference. so besides that i kinda have rule i go by i want to share i guess. i got it from phil ivey and im not trying to be like phil ivey does it so im gonna do it but it makes sense so i incorporate it into my play as well. but it goes if im winning i put in a lot of hours and if im losing than i quit even if its early. it makes sense cause if your winning usually your playing well and the other players arnt and if your losing it might be cause your not playing as well and the other players are. so on tuesday when i started winning a lot at the mgm i played from like 6pm to 6am went home and fell straight to sleep haha i probablly should have played a little longer but our table was down to like 5 handed and was gonna break so i just quit. one thing i dont like about that though is that i like to be on a schedule i like waking up everyday at noon and doing my routine so i gotta get back to my time schedule but no biggie. so ill do a mid month review on sunday and hopefully i can get into the black in online poker and get some results going also ill post a graph then as well and maybe i can win a bit more money in live poker before than as well so stay tuned listeners

2010 recap
so far ive done a new years recap but i havnt done a 2010 recap so this blog will be dedicated to 2010 and the upcoming year.
so to start 2010 off i was grinding back at 100nl like 2 tables. my work season ended novmeber 1st and i deposited another 2000$ into my account and went back to the 100nl tables. i really wasnt super into poker back at the start of the year as i am now but i was still at the tables everyday. and just like the year before i was beat at the 100nl tables and moved down once i got to 1000$ i started playing at 50nl. i actually thaught i had a decent bankroll managment going on i figured 10 buyins was enough and id move up or deown when needed. although i did follow it strictly which was a good thing the number of buyins i gave myself for each stake was horrible it wasnt until later in the year that i realized how big the swings can be. i think i was able to move up from 50nl back to 100nl once and then got beat back down and then beat at 50nl i think i stayed at 25nl for a bit before getting beat there and then i decided that since things were going to hell to try and mix it up. i read that 6 max was a better way to make money so i started playing 6max 10nl. although i do think you can make more money at 6 max, the swings are a lot bigger and with me practicing a horrible bankroll stratagey it spelt failure. although i was able to play at the 10nl 6max tables for a while and i think at that point i started 4 tabling. i remember being like man this is fast, and now im 24 tabling haha. but eventually i took a downswing and wasnt able to recover so i moved down to 5nl. even now i dont feel like a really good player but i did feel like i was a decent player. decent enough to beat the micro stakes and with me getting beat there was like a slap in the face. but i still played at 5nl and did my thing. the summer was just about to arrive and i was going to go back to work like the first of may. just so happens i was dating a girl and we ended up splitting up like the middle of april alltogether we dated for about 2 and a half years she went out of state for a semester and we split up and she came back for the winter and we got back together and her parents are in the millitary and were being stationed in vegas in june so it was at the point to decide if it was going to get really serious or not. i wont lie i was super into her and when we split up it crushed me but we are on good terms and remain freinds and im happy to see where our lives are headed. so 2010 up to that point was going pretty shitty i guess. i think i was actually playing 10nl 6 max when i started working and then had to move down after like a month or somthin but i cant remember. anyways it was probablly july or august when i started to think about my fpp's i had like 95,000 and like a few more i would have been able to get a big plasma tv or somthin else i cant remember. what i was thinking before that was that if i deposited 2000$ every year and was able to collect that many fpps than id be able to take one of those trips to like pca or somthin like that it would have taken like 6 years but that was what i was thinking at the time, im glad i changed my mind. at this time i was playing 6 tables of 5 nl and i was down to like 100$ or somting when i decided to use my fpps for the sunday million satalites. i think it was 5400 fpp's and its one table of 10 players and the last 4 get a seat in the sunday million. i think i read that was the best way to spend your points besides the 3,000,000 for the porcshe and other crazy prizes. so i started playing the satalites and the first one i played i won and i was faced with a decision. play the tourney or sell the tourney dollars for real money. i had always wanted to play in the sunday million so i decided this one time ill play in it and any other satalites i win ill sell the tourney dollars. so i played the tourney and i was actually able to cash just after the bubble for like 300$ or somthin. there was a huge hand that i can still remember that was like 5 players from the bubble and the guy put me in a supper tough spot when the board was like 3 9 k k and he put me all in on the turn and i had 1010 to this day i think i had him beat and when i replay it in my mind he was totally taking advantage of the bubble and knew i was just trying to cash if i would have thrown the idea of cashing out the window and called and maybe won the hand i would have been in a really good spot to go deep in the tourney buuut thats in the past nowso after taht i played like 8 or 10 more satalites and i was able to win like half of them so my bankroll was back to like 1250 or somthing and i was hyped. i instantly jumped back to 50nl full ring and lost had to move down to 25nl in like a couple days and then i just fell off and lost it all except 100$ i dont know if it was because i felt i deserved to win or somthing but i was playing fast and tried winning fast and thatspelt failure as well. so i was back to where i was sitting at 100$.i still had like 60,000 fpp's so i went back to the satalites. this time around i figured out the satalite stratagey and i won like 7 out of the 10 i played and i got sucked out on one of them. and my bankroll was baqck to like 1150 or somwhere around there. at this time it was like september maybe and i really started to delve into my game and i think this was the turning point iinto how serious i got with poker. i ended up getting holdem manager. i never really cared to get it before cause i didnt really cared about players stats and i was able to go over my hands using poker trackers hand replayer. but i dont remember exactly why i wanted to get it but i am glad i did. it gives you so much information on your own play and you can improve your play so much, and thats one of the reasons my game is greatly improving, also i stumbled across frosy012's blog and found it really interesting. back when he had like 15 followers so i signed up and started following him and a few other bloggers. then i decided to start this blog in hopes of improving my play even more and also for like a journal i suppose. also i started going onto 2+2 a lot more and started posting a few hands i had troubles or questions with and i just started to make poker like my life not toatlly though. at this time it was getting close to the end of the season and i already knew i wanted to move out of alaska and i was thinking washington because thats where my job is stationed from and even if i didnt get on with them full time for the winter id still be there if somthing came up. but then another idea came into my head...vegas. when i was dating my ex girlfriend we were already talking about moving there for the winter so she could be close to her parents so the thaught was laready in my head. and with her parents being there it would make the move there a lot easier. even now i want to get on full time with the company ive been working for but i made up my mind and decided that this is a once in a lifetime thing and its an opportunity that i would have wished i should have done if i dont do it. so i was vegas bound. i wasnt going to go to vegas just to play poker i wanted to go for a lot of reason but poker being one of them. my job got done november 1st and i deposited 500$ into my account this time. my plan was to start 24 tabling 10nl so i wanted to give myself 100 buyins at every level up to 10nl and also i was giving myself a 4000$ live bankril for 1/2nl. so i think i stayed in alaska for a couple more days and then headed started to road trip to vegas i took a friend with me through canada for a couple reasons and he also had an aunt and uncle in washington so i could spend the night there befor heading out again. the drive through canada had some iffy spots in there but i was able to make it to washington without breaking down or wrecking so it was going good. we stayed at his aunts place which was actually just down the road from one of washingtons better casinos so i hit that up that night. they have a 2/5 game with a mx buyin of 300$ which isnt all that great i think but i was itching for some action so i played and lost 300 in like 2 hours but wasnt a big deall i got it in on a coin flip and didnt hit no biggie. the next day i was headed to colorado to my aunts my friend stayed behind and was gonna fly home after spending a week or so with his relatives. there was some iffy spots heading towards colorado as well but i got there in like a day. i stayed there for like 3 weeks so i could spend thanksgiving with them. while i was there my cousin offered to make a computer for me. hes super smart with computers and we ordered the parts and got got them like a week later and had me up and going. i decided to start my 24 tabling experience a little early. i wanted to 24 table 5 nl so i could get used to doing it and have minimal losses and then once i got to vegas id start 24 tabling 10nl, so i started on that. also they had some casinos like an hour away that i went to a couple times they spread i weird game if its 6 players or less it one 1$ blind and if theres more than 6 players than there a 1$ and a 2$ blind, but then the betting is capped at 10$ dollars so if someone bet i could only raise 10$ more and then they could only raise 10$ more if they wanted to but it was capped at 10$ haha. even though the setup is bad the game is super soft the first time i took it for 125$ and the next time i went i took it for 175$ so it evend out my losses at washington. also at the casino in colorado if you play for 6 hours theyll comp your food and give you a room for the night free of charge. so if i ever lived in colorado and was down and out for somereason i have no doubt i could live there and be a winner almost every day. but anyway after thanksgiving i was headed to vegas, ran into a little bit of weather but i was able to make it to vegas within a day got to my ex's parents house and was able to find an appartment within a dcouple days and moved in like 3 days after getting to vegas and after getting everything setup thats where im at now. even though this is a 2010 recap the past couple years ive been going by my work schedule and since i get done with work november 1st almost every year i like to say that my pokr year runs from november 1st to october but i guess it doesnt matter to much. but thats how my 2010 went. so far in 2011 things have been going really good i see my game improving and im doing what i can to learn and study my game and poker. one thing im glad i did in 2010 was go to the 6max tables. even though i think i prefer full ring 6 max really taught me how to play positional poker and other things that full ring doesnt really offer and i think it improved my game and i learned from it. one thing i didnt do in 2010 was set goals for myself but to start 2010 i wasnt super into poker as i am now. but for 2011 i would like to see try and maintain consistent results (variance depending) even if i just break even live or online i am striving for consistent results. which i think i am going to be a winner by the end of the year. also once i start working in the summer again i think i might move up to 25nl or atleast dabble in it on the weeknds or somthing i really think i can be a consistent winner there as well. right now i have a workout routine that im sticking to so thats going good, in the summer ill stop though cause i dont like to workout after working for 12 hours. my eating habits are all over the place but its no biggie im not really eating that bad. as far as a sleep schedule im usually waking up at noon everyday mainly so i can play later at night at the casinos when there might be some drunk players. but other than that i dont really have any other goals. seeing how this is like the first year im really looking at poker seriously i just want to be consistant mainly. then ill start to think about volume and how much i can win. on a side note. the next winter i am moving to washington to get on full time with my company wich is good but the bad thing is that pokerstars and full tilt are enforcing the state law banning online poker which is pretty bad for me. right when im starting to see results i get a downswing by the law. i guess there gonna try and fight the law this upcoming session but i dont know if theyll get it legal or not. since my information is still all alaska info i might be able to get a proxy server to hide my ip address and still play in washington but i dont know if it will work. the people at pokerstars are pretty smart. so after this summer i might end up playing only a few hours after work in cardrooms or somthing which isnt horrible atleast id still be playing but id rather grind out 24 tables of like 25nl than play live, just my preference. so thats how things are looking ill post somtime this week to report how things are going. untill then stay tuned peeps. also i know theres a lot of typos in this post so sorry for that

so this week so far has been stupid. well for live poker it has anyway. and that being sayed ill start the post with poker. im home a little early than i usually am cause i was playing bad so i quit and decided to come home, reflect, recover, and rethink. so live play has just been going horrible for one im in a bit off a downswing and to top it off im playing horrible. i mean im still positive in money since ive been here im sitting at 4825$ for my live bankroll so im up 825$ but i mean im on a 2200 downswing so far. which after running hot for 3/4 of december this downswing is really putting a damper on my spirits. im really glad i was able to run hot in decmber though cause if not i might really be in a slump and maybe have lost my whole roll by now. but anyway since i havnt posted any hands in a while i guess ill post some now to show how bad ive been playing. both hands are from today live play. so the first hand goes like this everyone fold up to mp1 who limps mp2 limps and couple more folds and i have j10 of clubs on the button. so i make it 15$ sb folds bb calls mp1 calls and mp2 calls. flop come 2 7 j two clubs. bb checks mp1 leads out for 35 i call and bb folds. turn is another jack mp1 leads for 100$ i have like 115 left so i shove and the river is a blank and he shows 22 for a full house. some players might be like thats just unlucky but for me i could have goten away from that i mean i did have a flush draw and 3 jacks but the only thing i was beating was j9 or j8. i see a lead out on the flop by bad players as weak or super strong so maybe he had a 7 or somthing stupid like 66 or somthing but when he leads for a 100$ on the turn that shoulda bee a insta fold, ill express my thaugts more after this next hand. so my poker buddy i met hit me up and said hes goin to the mgm and i sayed id be there since the game is soft and i need to try and rebuld. so the hand i got into was with a kinda loose asian guy. there was a couple limpers in middle positions and i raised to 15$ with qq the asian calls to my left on the button and there was one other callers. the flop came j 9 2 i bet like 25 he raises to 60 i call the turn is a 9 i check he bets like 60 i call and i have like 75 left river is a blank and i check and he puts me all in and i call relatively fast and he shows j9 for the boat. now on the turn i didnt think he had a 9 because he really wouldnt have raised me with another person to act even though he was a little loose of a player. i really put him on aj. at the mgm the players are pretty bad and you can see tptk shoving in a big percentage of the time but none the less i should have folded the turn. i really hate calling a flop raise just to fold the turn but i should have. i think my thaught process is all out of wack maybe due to my downswing there are a couple other major hands that i should have found folds as well that i didnt thats contributing to my horid plays. one thing i really need to work on is my thinking. i think my thaught process is pretty decent and i can lay down big hands in tuff spots if only i give myself the chance to think when i need to. in all of those scenarios i almost snap called like i was trying to catch a bluff or somthing. i found myself doing that in online poker a while ago and have been working on it and its going decent but now i need to work on it in live play as well. its like i put them on a range i can beat and i call cause i dont want to go away from my read i think a lot of it has to due with my downsing but i really need to make a concious effort to rid my self of this problem or im going to be out of the action in no time.
as far as online poker goes right now it seems to be going pretty smoothly for the week right now im up 3 buy ins so 30$ but one big acievment im seeing so far is my showdown numbers ive been a bit more aggressive this month than last month to try and improve my non showdown numbers and so far im seeing a difference. right now im doing 20$ better than what i was doing last month. well 20$ difference. my nonshowdown winnings are better but my showdown winnings are just a little lower than last months but thats was to be expected but the diference so far compared to last month is 20$ which is good its showing good results just like i wanted but its only a 10,000 hand sample so its not that big. ill be able to tell the big deference at the end of the month when i compare and post the results but yeah live is going good.
to do a little comparison of the different poker scenes. even though i play for less money online im going to have to say i enjoy playing online way more than live. the big issue being time. i mean i can play 10,000 hands in 8 hours online where in live poker thats about 320-350 hands i mean i can make haundred of plays one after another online and live the same play might only come up 2 or 3 times the whole day and somtimes i miss the right play because my mind is wondering from the table. but i am learning a bit from live poker and that means a lot more to me than the money for right now. i mean im playing 1/2nl im not expecting to make a lot of money. i do want to win at the end of this season but i came here more for the experience and to learn rather than to make money. but i am accomplishing a lot of things im wanting to do here so even though im having a tuff time in live poker right now, things are going good.
also im feeling really comftorable with my game online i think my roll sits at like 1805$ online and since its a new year they restarted the stellar rewards so i should be able to clear at least 100$ in a few months if not a couple of months so im expecting my bankroll online to gradually grow. and im feelling pretty confident and i think i might take a shot at 25nl in the summer when i start working. i mean ive played at 25nl before and i think im a winner there so i dont think id have any crazy troubles with it but the main thing is that i wanted to be rolled for it before i tried so if i can get anywhere close to 2500$ im going to take shots at 25nl 2500$ gives me 100 buyins at 5nl, 10nl, and 40 buyins at 25nl but i dont think id really be a loser at 10nl so if things didnt go so well to start off at 25nl i wouldnt mind dipping a little into thebankroll for a few more buyins idk its still a little ways away to think about.
now for life. its been going prettys smoothly, after i post this im gonna go out for a drink with a buddy from highschool who moved here and reconnect with him. also tomorow they have a convention going on at the sands convention center in the venetian. its the adult entertainment convention or porn convention haha. i guess its like super huge and one of vegas's biggest conventions so im gonna hit that up tomorow i think its like 80 buck to get in but whatever should be interesting, ill take pics. and then this weeknd should be pretty poppin at the clubs especially with a couple conventions in town so im going to try and get into one of the newer clubs in vegas called xs i guess its a reall hots spot so im going there saturday night and ill try to get there early so i can hopefully get in so things are goin pretty good i got some more to talk about but ill post that this sunday since this one is long enough plus i might have some stories to tell after the club.... like me walking home alone hahaha

so i finished my vegas video a couple days ago and got it all edited but i was having a little trouble downloading it to the blog post but i was able to figure it out. anyway its basically just my lifestyle as of late and it has a few minutes of new years eve at the palms clubs... dont judge me at the end of the video i was a bit duuurruunkk. besides all that hope you like it enjoy
also like i stated in other posts i plan on making another like 15 minute video of me 24 tabling the micro stakes but i dont know when i plan on doing it but i do plan on doing it sometime, to recap everything else i havnt played poker since the new year ive taken a few days off but i plan on getting back into the action tomorrow. i might actually play some online poker tonight. im feeling good about this month so hopefully i can end the the first month of the year in the black as i did the last month of the old year. not much else to report so ill post next time somthing comes along
