24 table regular!!

so this week has been pretty extreme it feels like. first ill start with life. tomorow im leaving colorado for vegas around 2pm or so. sooo im doing my entry tonight, also i doubt ill play anymore before the 1st of december so this is going to be my monthly recap as well. so to recap the month i got done with my last day of the season of work on the dredge on the first, hung around anchorage for a couple days, played a little bit of poker(didnt do well haha) then me and my friend hit the road for washington the trip was scethcy in some spots but we made it to washington in about 3.5 days so all was good. hung out there for a day and a half and then i went on by myself to colorado to my aunts. had a family thanksgiving dinner here which was nice. my laptop died on me about the first 3 days i was here. buuuut my cousin is awesome and we built a desktop that is super fast and cost about half as much. so i took it upone me for the rest of the week to practice 24 tabling. i dropped down to 5nl to ease any crazy swings from learning to 24 table, but im actually pretty comftorable at it now. ive only been doing it for about 4 days or so but ive got a knack for it already. at first it was difficult and i started doing 12 tables then added more and more untill i had all 24 tables i am really pleased with how fast i learned to get comftorable with it im actually suprised. somtimes i check when i shoulda bet or somthing like that but alltogether im getting it down pretty decently.so whenever i get internet setup in vegas im going to start 24 tabling 10nl prolly start at like 15 tables just to get comftorable then jump to 24. i must say though 24 tabling is the way to go if your serious about your game. for one you go through a mass amount of hands super fast which allows you to evaluate your game and notice changes a lot faster. i think at micro and low limits its prolly the only way to go. maybe once you get to like 600nl or somthing then it might be better to drop to like 8 tables or somthing. but yeah so far so good. my success at the tables on the other hand haha.....



so with almost 39,000 hands at nl5 i was able to come out just over 3 buyins up lol!!, but i went through some crazy swings and such. i think the people that read my blog are family and friends but if there are any poker players out there they now about the all in ev. but for those of you who dont the red line is where my winnings should be if i didnt get sucked out on when we were all in and as you can tell at the begining of the week i was getting sucked out on a lot. i think at one point i was like 11 buyins down from where i should have been. variance caught back up with me and i ran it up to like 9 buy in up i think (45$) and then i hit a massive downswing and lost 11 buyins in one day. wich was last night it was pretty gross i was like no way can i lose all this isnt possible. but of course i was wrong. i wasnt tilted but towards the end of the session i wasnt playing right and prolly lost a couple buy ins because of it. i quit for the night shortly after. and today i made up some of my mistakes. as far as play at 5nl goes. i do like my play, sometimes i find myself pushing the envelope on the aggression somtimes it works and somtimes it doesnt. thats one of the downsides of playing against bad players. on the other hand its nice coming across mega fish as well like today a guy sucked out on me and stacked me. later on i have a set and i get it in against him and he had ace high lol. he still had about 150bb so my mouth was watering.(yeah 7.50$ gets me goin) another hand against him i flop a flush draw and chased it to the river and shove and he calls with a pair of 3's hahahha yeah that was great. so even though my graph looks horrible and i came out just above for the week i am hapy with my begining of my 24 tabling experience. as for live play goes i played once in washington and twice in colorado. in washington they were playing a 2/5nl game with a max buyin of 300$ it was a horrible game selection but i couldnt help myself to the live scene and dropped 300 in a few hours. i didnt play bad just the way the cards fell pretty much. as for colorado. they have a weird game at the only casino that has a poker room in colorado lol. if theres 5 or less players thes one 1$ blind and if theres 6 or more players theres one 2$ blind. most of the players there are old gramps and are pretty tight and limp like crazy the first time i played there was a little action and there was only one player that i thaught new the dynamics of abc poker. oh yeah the betting is capped at 10$ so the max i could raise to is 10$ and then somone could raise it 10 more and i could make it 10 more to go but only 10$ is the maximum which is good for losers and horrible for winners. but the first time i came out 125$ up and i didnt think id go back for another go but my aunt had some people look at her house so i left for the day back there.i found out that if you play 3 hours of poker or more there they will comp you a room and pay for your meals. this one lady has been there for 140 days apparently. it sounds like a sweet deal if they woul offer higher limits to the poker but i guess its law that thats the limits they can offer. so the second time i went started playing with 4 old guys that would limp and never call a raise and if they did they often foled on the flop it was nuts i made like 25$ in like 4 hours it suckedi was straddling and everything and they would not raise worth of nothing. the only time they raised was if they had jj or better. but after 6pm came arounda bit more people came in and we had a full table of players that actually gambled. a young kid like my self who braught his hot girlfriend a long. seriously i guess he was a bartender in town somwher but his girl was hot. and he had douche stamped across his forhead pretty much. anyways he sat down to my left and things got interesting. if he had top pair he would raise and he didnt fold. at first i tried bluffing him like 3 seperat occasions that all failed. untill i was like alright ill just let this guy pay for me. i won a big pot against him with kk and then i hit a flush on the river against him on another hand and get paid off and on another occasion i won a hand against him as well. anyways after he got busted i won a little more and eneded the night with 175$. if that were my local game i could be a big winner in it but im kinda glad its not lol. so with my winings in colorado i came out break even in live play. i wasnt really going to count these wins or losses against me because i was pretty much just having fun. but since i came out break even looks like it worked out anyway. but as far as my bankroll goes this month started off kinda crappy and never got anybetter i wasnt really able to put a lot of volume in at 10nl so i wasnt able to gain back my losses, and since i was only 24 tabling at 5nl i didnt see much gains either but its ok i cant wait for next month my roll sits at 4000$ for live and 1634$ for online. i started the month with 1750 for online so im down 116$ so far. thats no big deal i can win that in a day of 24 tabling 10nl . which is the plan haha. but yeah im really hoping i can find an apartment super fast and get internet super fast so i can start this journey for real. if things go decent i can deffinitly see myself making atlest 500 a month online, from 10nl and hoefully like 1000 live. im not in it for the money at this point more so the experience and the practice but if things go right i might be able to jump to 25nl but we will just have to see about that. anyways im super excited for tomorow to head to vegas for the winter its going to be an awesome winter. except for right now i think they been getting into the 30's for there weather. theres like a cold front going through or somthing, but i think its supposed to get warmer from here on out.

new birth

ok so there is a lot of good and bad this week. first ill start with the bad. my laptop decided to take a crap on me. since ive been here in colorado the fan has been going non stop on it my aunt told me that her old one did that then it burned out on her. i didnt think much of it because my fan usually ran a bit but not none stop. so like a few days ago i put it on sleep and went to the stor or somthing. when i came back i turned it on and the screen wouldnt come on. the drives were going and fans were blowing and the lights were on but the screen wouldnt turn on. my aunt is working part time at staples and told me there having a sale on laptop fixes till thanksgiving. (what a coincidence right?) so i took it down there and they checked it out that night, turns out it didnt totally fry up and it was repairable. since the sale was going on it was 185$ instead of 370$ which i guess if i chose i time for my laptop to die it would be when i can have it fixed for cheap. so that kinda sucks i dont know if its going to erase everything i had on it or what the only thing im worried about is all my porn files.... lol just kidding im kinda worried about my music ive got it all on my ipod as well but it would just be a hassel going through itunes again and then also hem. i dont have that much data on hem only about 20k hands so its not a huge loss or anything if it is gone. now for the good news my new desktop came a couple days ago in the mail so today we put all the parts together and it turned on and loaded up like a champ, my cousins pretty awesome he pretty much saved me like 800$ by us building it our selves and its a higher grade computer so better quality for cheaper cant beat that. so after i got everything loaded i jumped into a 24 tabling session a short 24tabling session haha. yeah that shit is intense i baught table ninja and also downloaded hem onto this computer. i wasnt able to recover my old files from hem just yet cause i think i have to un register it on my other computer or somthing like that im not 100% sure but ill figure it out. even if i have to repurchase it again its not that big of a deal but id rather not. so im using the trial version for 15 days which should be plenty of time to recover my files once i get my lappy back from the doctors. so yeah back to 24 tabling, at first i opend 24 tables of 10nl cause when i filterd the tables it wasnt keeping 5nl in the lobby for some reason it might have to do with one of there updates but im not sure. but yeah it was pretty intense i was like woah woah woah. shortly after tha i got talbe ninja and that helped a bit but i was still only making basic decisions and wasnt really able to keep up i didnt look at peoples stats or anything i was just trying to go through all the tables. so i stopped that. i pretty much just wanted to see what it was like to 24 table. i dont plan on just jumping into it, im going to start off nat 5nl probabbly 12-15 tables work my way up to 24 taables and once im comftorable at that w\then ill make the switch to 10nl and probablly do the same thing and then just do a steady grind from there, i dont know how long it will take to be comftorable at 24tabling but that doesnt matter to me if i never get comftorable at it then ill just 20 table or somthing. but from what im told its a learned skill and im willing to devote the time so i dont think it should be a problem.

the last night before my laptop went to shit i was looking through my hem i htink my last post i was talking about cc% and found out its when somone raises and you call the raise so 11.5 percent doesnt seem that far out of the park now. but i was also trying to find other leaks in my game and i noticed a couple things. my showdown percent was good and i was winning money when i went to showdown. but my non showdown hands and money is in the negative. there are a few contributers to this from what i saw. first i could be varriance i played 20k hands since i started using hem and i was right inbetween a 10 buy in up and downswing so it could just totally be varriance. the next issue is not being aggressive enough on the flop or later in the hand, but i have an excuse for that one. basically it 10nl, theres only so much aggression you can have at that limit and get away with it there are a lot of calling stations and if you try and mak big bluffs youll get caugth so i limit my aggression at 10nl i dont really see that as the problem but if i was able to be a little more aggressive it would def. be better for my nonshowdown winnings. the last thing that i could come up with was calling 3 bets. lately i have really been trying to play pots in position including 3 bet pots when someone 3 bets me and im out of position i try to only call with big pairs and big suited connectors unless im really sure they have qq plus, in that case ill call with any pair and smaller sutied connectors in hopes to flop big and get them all in. but i really have been folding a lot of hands out of position and waiting for better spots so i dont see that as a huge contributer but it could be so im even lowering my out of position calling 3 bet range to see if my non showdown winings will improve. it sucks though cause my graph is gone now cause my laptop is gone so thats kinda a bummer but i still know how much ive won or lost this month so all is not totally lost.

for now untill its time to go to vegas im going to work on the multitabling skills and get everything squared away so i can get a jumpstart in vegas when i arrive other than that im pretty excited to really start my poker winter in a couple weeks< till next time stay tuned fellas

so ive been having some thaughts lately on my game and schedule. monday went alright i was able to win like 5 buy ins but at the end of the session it fell to 2.5 buy ins ive only got 20k hands of 10nl since ive got hem and from what ive been told a decent sample to really evaluate your game is around 50k hands. none the less after a big bluff gone wrong at the end of the session i started to go over my play a little bit (at 10nl i hardly make big bluffs). all my stats seemed prettys decent vpip is at 19 and pfr is at 12.9 3bets at 4% i like my stats how they are and i dont really see any leaks in those areas except for one i was reading another blog and the guy stated that an online pro stated that if you have a cc% of over 2 then thats a leak. wel mines 11.5% lol im alittle confused on the deffinition of a cold call. theres a lot of material out there saying that a cold call is when somone raises and you call. but that would mean it would be almost impossible to maintain a cc% under 2%. theres other material saying a cold call is when somone raises then theres another raise and then somone calls that which that would make more sense. but what i dont really get is how my cc% is that high cause i really dont remember calling a second raise 11.5 percent of the time thats a lot i think i would notice that. the only thing that i can think of is if they consider a cold call when you call somones 3bet after you already bet but even then if you were only calling 2% of the time then you would be crazily exploitable so im kinda confused on the whole cc% thing i went as far as posting it on 2+2. either way its got my attention and im trying to figure it out and possibly fix my high percent if it is a huge problem. but everything else seems like its on par. as far as thaughts about my schedule ive noticed that there is a low % of 10nl games going during the morning from like 7-11 theres only like 4 tables with an open seat at 40-100bb regular 10nl but if i undo my cash game filters theres a lot more tables but there "fast" tables. its been a while since ive played on fast tables from waht i remember i didnt like playing on them cause you had to make your decisions a lot faster. i dont know if that would be that much of an issue anymore cause ive put in a lot of time since ive played at the fast tables so i think it wont be that bothersom. what im getting at is when i do start to 24 table i plan on waking up like aroun 7 or 8 workout then play online for a few hours before i head to the casino the hours might change a little depending on the days ill prolly spend an hour or to more online durining the weekdays and prolly more hours at the casinos on friday and saturday. but in order for me to be able to fill up 24 tables in the morning before i go to the casino then ill either have to mix the games between 10nl and 5nl of regular 40-100bb talbes. or i can play like half regular and half fast tables of 40-100bb 10nl. which i think ill do the half and half decision. its weird though cause 5nl usually has a lot of tables open, and 25nl has a lot of open tables, but 10nl barely have any open its just weird. so anyways yesterday started off good got a 5 buyin upswing going and now to start the day its fallen to +1 buyin so hopefully i can get a good rush going again and get out of the red from the beggining of the month. to sum it all up though its lookin like im just break even so its not that horrible i suppose

mid month review

so this is my first mid month reveiw of my new season. really its like the first week of full poker play seeing how i was traveling for the first full week but a couple days of poker thrown in there as well. so far not so good haha. well it isnt that bad ill post the graph



so i started november with 1725, from what i can remember i played a short session on the first and dropped 2 buy ins and from what i can remember it was either a suckout or just unlucky or somthing who knows either way i was going into the next week with right around 1700$ for some reason the graph was cut short at the begining but i was up like 2 buy ins and now i got a pretty sweet downswing going on. so all together im down about 7 buyins from when i started the month. i dont really feel bad about it or feel like im playing bad or anything. actually i feel like im playing pretty decent im making decent laydowns not making the pots big when they dont need to be and pretty much basics like that. i did make a few questionable calls that turned out bad for me for what i remember but i really dont think a few bad calls or missed value bets here or there will give you a drastic 7 buyin downswing. im pretty sure that this is just varriance it was only about 8500 hands. ive seen regulars go through 8-12 buyin downswings and come back up in the green all the time. its just the varriance so im deffinitly not worried about it yet. time will tell. now if i lose 50 buy ins then somthings up and ill have to seriously look over my game and reavaluate. speaking of looking over my game im trying to decide how often i should go over my own play i mean i do here and there just little bits looking at my stats and what not but so far im thinking like once at the beggining of the month idk, i was also thinking maybe on those days that things just go horrible that you quit for the day i can go over my play on those days too theres usually one or two of those in a month. also just another thing to point out in my graph is that ive been running a little bad as well today i turned a full house with aces full and the guy had quads and then set under set a couple times too. my over pairs have been holding up all in pre flop though so thats a plus, so i can def. be worse.

so my cousin is super smart with computers and everything like that and while i am staying at my aunts he came over a couple times and i was talking to him about what i was looking for in a desktop. he built my aunts uncles and a couple other ones and are still running like champs after like 5 years. so anyways hes gonna make me a computer wich is awesome. we ordered the parts off the internet like a few days ago so they should be here this week sometime. its actually not that hard to put together and ill prolly be able to do it myself after i do it with him but when he was ordering the parts i had no idea what he was ordering i just told him what i wanted and what i needed it for and he set me up. so i might be able to set one up but prolly not know what to order haha. also with the things that im looking for in a desktop and how fast and durable i want it to be a pretty much saved like 1/2 the money as well everything came to right about 1000$ which if i would buy the same kind of computer at a store itd prolly be like 1800 or somthing. i didnt get a monitor for it yet just cause i can get those at the store for pretty much the same price and be able to return it if it doesnt work right, as well as a keyboard and mouse so all togehter prolly like 1200$ and on the market it prolly would be like 2000$ so this will be pretty sweet once im able to 24 table on it.

on another horrific topic poker sites are starting to crack down on players that play in washington state. so far full tilt and pokerstars dont let anyone in the state of washington play real money online which sucks hard. first im going to be moving there next november, and if things went decent this year i was going to try and go for supernova and be a have a steady grind going after work. but then the bill passed and i was like shit so much for that idea, but all wasnt lost i still had full tilt... untill now it was just a few days ago that fulltilt started enforcing the washington law as well. there will prolly be a couple sites that dont enforce it but i dont think ill ever play at those for one absolute, ub, and i think bodog have hadd scandals at them before and almost every other poker site only lets you multi table like 5 and there selection is pretty bad i think. but i might have a couple outs going into the river. first they can detect if your playing in washington from your ip address but i beleive there are programs that they sell that either block your ip address or can make a fake one so if they dont ban you for not having an ip address or cant detect your throwing off a false ip address then that might work. also ppa said that they are going to be doing a lot of work trying to remove that law and throw it out so there still might be some hope by time i move there so fingers crossed. also i read an article that was saying that the law was bassically put into another one and then told every one that this is what the law is about but for got to mention the fine print that also stated to make online gambling illegal. ive heard of that done before so i dont doubt this was the same case. some of the signers or whatever they are even said that if they knew that was what it was about they wouldnt of passed it. im pretty sure it also has somthing to do with the indian casinos prolly whining about people not going into their casinos ir somthing.

kinda on the same subject but not really the casinos in washington arnt really that good. there is one decent one that is about 40-50 miles north of seattle so like 35 miles prolly from where i wanna live that offers an "ok" nl spread. i think they only offer 2/5 nl and up but i think the 2/5 game has a 500$ betting limit on it wich can drastically hurt your profit. buuuut if it comes down to it and theres absolutely no other option i might have to play in it idk. as far as things outside of poker, things have been going good just pretty much hangin out playin poker and also pool. my uncle has a really nice pool table and we play atleast 5 games a day i actually really like it. i mean if i was around one a lot i would prolly spend a lot of time working on my game but its not somthing im going to persue if its not in front of me. i think im pretty decent i know how to throw english on the ball and i know a lot of the basics and how to leave it and things like that so i like it but yeah like i said if its not in front of me im prolly not going to persue it.... maybe if poker in washington s horrible ill hussle pool haha. also i played live poker here in colorado actually today, played in washington as well. but the casinos are about 45 miles away and arnt really worth it. there was like 5 casinos and i think 2 of them had one table of poker going. the one i played in was pretty wierd. it only had one blind. when there was 6 players or less it was a 1$ blind and when there was 7 or more players wether they were sitting out or not it was a 2$ blind wich wasnt the bad part. the bad part was that it was no limit but it had a betting limit of 10$ so say somone limps or somthing the max i could make it would be 10$, but someone else could raise it but only 10$ more, and then i could raise it again if i wanted to but only 10$ more and every betting round had a 10$ max wich was weeeiiird it was like playing no limit preflop up to 10$ and then basically limit after that. i mean some of the time post flop theyd bet 5$ or somthing but pretty much whenever i was in a pot that had 20$ or more i bet 10$ every time haha. the only thing i think was good about the game is that it limits your losses like that and also there was only one person there that i thaught had an understanding to the game and he wasnt super good or anything either pretty much just abc poker. i ended up 125$ ahead. at the begging i baught in for 100$ and dropped to 50$ which wasnt horrible just how the hands went made a fold good fold holding AA actually it was an automatic fold and also had to make a couple folds with overpairs that i thaught were good folds but who knows in that game. i was catching some cards though got paid off with a flush and with AK like 3 times i think. just to show how bad the players were i had A10 suited and the flop came A5A with 3 players i checked mp checks and button checks turns a blank i bet like 5$ or somthin mp calls button folds. river was another blank and i bet 10 and mp calls and i show A10 and she flips overr 55 for fives full??? why not raise i mean even if i did have aces full the most you would lose would be another 20$ but more likely than not i had 2 pair or 3 10's so she def. missed some value there. but i didnt say nothing lol.

also im kinda struggling with laying huge hands down. i mean i can lay down pairs like AA kk and other hands down and 2 pair and even straights when im really certain the flush was made or somthing like that but what im talking about is laying down a set when you think they have a set or a flush when they have a higher flush or three of a kind when they have a boat. one hand that comes to mind was from yesterday. i think i turned 3 10's and i got raised on ther river the way i played i was pretty cautious and only lost i think like 65bb's instead of my whole stack but when i looked over it i was losing to like j10 910 and full houses the villan wasnt a reg wich made the fold even harder but i should have layed it down. those big big laydowns dont come around that often so i really dont believe they will be the reason to your demise. but if i can find a fold in the correct spots then it will deff. show more of a profit then losing the hand, but id have to be correct wich is the hard thing about folding cause you dont know what they had unless they show and its even harder to find a fold when there not a regular. and at 10nl theres only about 10-15 regulars.

anyways even though im in the red so far this month and to the start of the new season im really still in high spirits and looking forward to the rest of the winter especially when i start 24 table :) so till next time aviators. click it or ticket and gl at the talbes

colorado pit stop

well i made it to colorado last night and got to my aunts house at about 9pm. got all settled in and pretty much hit the sack. from seattle to colorado i drove like 400 miles then took a nap for about 5 hours then drove like another 200 miles and took another hour or so nap then drove the last like 750 miles straight im sure the math doesnt add up but it was about 1350 miles... wait it does add up thats a first. anywhoozle the trip from ak to washington was 2250 miles and then washington to here was 1350 so that 800045 miles i think or 3600 one of those calculations are right. the plan from here is to get some apartments lined up to look at in vegas and then the last week of november ill drive down hopefully have one that i like and then move in on the first and start my vegas life for the winter. on a side note its my birthday today. wooooo. actually not that excited seems like every year that goes by the less exciting it is same with christmas im more happy to give then recieve nowadays kinda the same story with poker i suppose. (plan on changing that this year). so i think today were gonna have a roast or somthing like that which will be nice. also while im here im going to try and see if any of their casinos offer a 1/2 nl spread and ill start live play here as well. my aunt has wifi so ill be able to play online now wich is great ill actually be able to play more than 2 hours a day after work woot woot. im still going to only play 4 tables till i get a desktop setup in my apartment then ill start the 24 tabling adeventure. another note on poker is i played in a casino while i was in washington called the snoqualmie, its a decent casino and poker room and seems like a decent fl holdem spread of 4/8 going on but there no limit spread lacks bigtime they had 3 tables going of nolimit one 2/5 and two 3/5 both with a max of 300$ buy in i would have like to say i just kept walking but that would be what smart people do. yeah i sat down with 300 the play wasnt that great. i think most of them were pretty much regs to the poker room but i really only noticed one that had a decent understanding of the dynamics for that game. i held my own for a while got chiped down to 200 wich was only 20 bb's down which is one of the reasons a 300$ max is horrible. kinda just hung around 200 for a couple hours till i got it in against an asian lady. i had 185 or 190 she recently just took a few beats for like 200$ each they wernt bad beats she just lost flat out and i could tell she was loose. she limped utg mp raised to like 20 and he was a bit loose as well, i had AQ of hearts on the button i re reraised to 60. it folds to the asian lady which shoves another 200. mp folds and it didnt take me long to shove my stack in there. flop comes like 10 8 6 two hearts. i dont really have that much live play so when i got it in and saw some hearts i could feel my my back thumping off the back of my seat from my heart pounding so fast, its a rush playing live after you play online for a while its almost a different feeling. turn was another 8 putting two dimonds on board as well. but eliminating a runner runner straight for me, river missed me and she showed 44. i was pretty sure she was weak thats why i shoved i was pretty much 50/50 on every street specially when the turn came i had like 17 outs so 35% there but yeah im fine with getting my money there in that situation against that player id prolly do it 90% of the time specially cause i only had like 35-40 bb's but none the less i shouldnt have played in that game cause of the structure even though i rarely play limit holdem if i wanted to play live that day i shouldve played the limit game. so i learned a lesson on live game selection that day.

so next time i post i should have a graph to post i dont know how many hands. ill probablly post on sunday or next sunday i really dont know haha but yeah ill put a graph up for the play ive done for the month. either way i think ill post sunday to recap the week lol so dont hesitate to stop on in ya hear!!

road trip update

so far the trip has been going good. after we left the town that i made the last post in the road got a little iffy again about 100 miles away. it was pretty much pure ice for about 200 miles which sucked never ran out of gas or had any flat tires or any problems so far so the trip is going pretty decent were in washington as of right now. were staying at my friends aunts house and tomorow ill continue the trip to colorado for myself and my friend will stay for another week or so with his aunt. i got pretty lucky though cause i had him come with me and then i was going to buy him a ticket to fly home in like a week but turns out his uncle is a pilot that does routine trips to ak every week so he can get a ticket for like 20$ and if he flys on the same flight than its free, works for me :) today we toured seatle a little bit. my aunt use to live in washington so ive been here before but never been to seattle or the other cities around it. wow im already falling in love with this place its gonna make me excited to move here next winter. the driving is akward mostly cause im not use to it but thank god i have a gps. actually we were down town and i was following the gps directions but it cut out for about 15 seconds and i was like i know ill just turn down this street to make a short cut to where its telling me to go. well turns out it was a one way street with cars coming my way! i was like shit this is a one way isnt it haha. i saw an alley way and turned down it. cut the edge to close and the side of my truck scraped against a parked utility van.... lol it was interesting none the less i was like shitty shit shit. me being the good patron i hauled ass away from the scene of the crime. anywhoozle we got to a parking garage and checked out "the damage" its not bad at all just like a little rub mark and actually pretty much rubs off when the rub it. so didnt turn out that bad but sure felt bad lol.other than that the downtown trip went good. found a couple malls and a couple book stores that we checked out. first off when we were in the mall we were walking out of the food court when i saw this super cute girl she was probablly 27 28 but way out of my league, we pass and she shoots me a smile.. i raise my eyebrows and smile aback and that was that. i was pretty suprised. then when we went into this bookstore i saw another super cute girl wearing a tight brown jogging outfit. shes walked passed me and that was about it so i went over to my friend and was looking at some books where he was at and she shows up where we were. i was like ummm then she like goes straight to the section were looking at and bends down to get a book. we both agreed she was there for us to hit on her and you can bet your life we both didnt lol. if i would be in seattle for another month i would have taken the time to talk to them and try and get dates or somthing but yeah both those instances were pretty stunning so i got big expectations when i move here for the dating scene. my friends aunt actually lives like a mile away from one of the higher end casinos in washington called snoqualmie i actually went there last night to check out the poker room. looked alright about 10-15 tables only about 6-8 had action going on them on a saturday night. one bad side to it is that its located directly next to an open club with music blaring. the poker room was enclosed in glass which im assuming is noise canceling but im sure it doesnt cut all the noise out, idk maybe it does i didnt go in it. i might go there tonight and start my live playing there if im not busy, and if they have a 1/2 game going. i think its kinda hard to find a 1/2 game in washington i think its usually limit holdem, mixwd games, or like 2/5 and higher so we'll see. tomorow im going out to eat lunch with guy from work. since the company i work for is based out of seattle i have a lot of work friends here which is good so im going out to eat with them tomorow and then ill be headed to colorado directly after lunch. no poker playing yet to report yet still havnt got a wifi connection for my lappy to play on. when im in colorado my aunts got wifi so ill be playing there. im going to still play 4 tables till i get settled in vegas before i start mass tabling but other than that just enjoying the trip its 50 degrees outside compared to ak's 25 and its only going to get warmer from here!!! till next time listeners get the radio tuned!!

new season expectations !!

this will be a pretty long post just to give a heads up. first ill talk about life as of right now. my last day of work was the 1st. we got the dredge all ready to get towed back to seattle and that was about it. as far as my job this season has been the most profitable summer season that ive had since ive joined the construction union. so after the workday was over i stayed up for a little bit actually went to kaladi brothers coffee to use the wifi there and get a hot coco :) i dont drink coffee so coco is the drink i choose there haha on a side note there is a lot of cute girls at coffee places the only problem is that they are usually doing homework for college or somthing along those lines so its kinda hard to hit on them but its deffinitely on my list once i get to vegas. i actually played poker while i was there and did horrible only lost 2.5 buyins but both times i got it all in i was ahead so i guess that counts for somthing but no big deal. so i hung around a day after work got done before heading out i went to lunch with an old skateboard/highschool friend so that was fun and then the rest of the day just hung out and things like that. i left wednesday the 4th around 10 am alaska time. my friend that went to cali actually came home earlier than he expected, and my mom was super scared for her little boy to be traveling alone through canada cause of all the stories shes heard. also when i went to lunch with my friend his dad use to truck through canada and told him about some bad things about traveling alone. needless to say i invited my friend to tag along. one to make my mommy feel more comftorable about my trip two so that i have company during the trip and three cause the story my friend told me actually kinda got me thinking of some sketchy things lol. so hes tagging along and then hes gonna fly back when he gets to seattle. right now were in whitehorse canada. the first 350 miles of the trip were alright the road was a little ruff and bumpy but not horribly bad. but then the next 100 miles were pretty intense once we got across the border. at one point i was going up a hill in about 4-6 inches of snow and the road under the snow was complete ice i was going like 25 mph in 4wd and still slipping a little bit. buuuut the last 75 miles or so to whitehorse were fine no snow and pretty decent. so were hangin in whitehorse for the day and night not really to much to do here theres a couple bars in the few hotels so since the drinking age is 19 i might get my friend to get tipsy with me tonight. theres a few good looking girls in town not to many though and we'll be drinking on a thursday night in a pretty unpopulated town so doubt we'll have any success pulling any girls back to the room. there is a really cute girl that works at the hotel were at if i see her again im gonna ask her out for drinks tonight. once we leave tomorow were gonna stop at a hotsprings im prettyy sure so that will be fun to then maybe make it to seattle in the next couple days and ill update my trip from there.

now for my new seasons poker/vegas goals, expectations, and life goals .
ill start with my life plans or goals since they're pretty short. as far as staying in shape goes im going to have a pretty regular workout routine probablly 5-7 days a week mostly just weight lifting but maybe a little jog here and there. i dont really have a schedule for weight lifting but i just do the lifts for the muscles i want to work on and rotate between those so nothing to special. as far as a diet goes thats not going to happen as it is already im a pretty slim guy who has a really fast motabolism so whatever i eat doesnt really effect my body weight as of now in my life, but that being said im not going to eat pizza 7 days a week either probablly just 5 days a week haha jk no i eat decent i suppose but yeah i wont be changing anything there. as far as relationships go thats the real reason im moving to vegas anyways is to win my ex girlfriends heart back..... ehhhhh almost had you there but no i still dont plan on having any kind of full time relationship anytime soon. i do on the other hand plan on dating quite a bit while im there for a few reasons. one for having female company, getting out there to see what really interests me. and also for possible hook ups (im just a sleez ball after all i guess). ive come out of my shy shell a lot since ive turned 21 but with me getting out there and dating a bit its making me even more confident so thats a plus as well. as for me being in vegas nothings really going to change for my life goals just cause im going to be in vegas im going there for other reasons which is time to state i suppose.

my vegas goals. the first and main reason why im going to vegas this winter is for entertainment. ive spent the last like 3-4 winters in ak being bored out of my mind when im not working i mean i can play online poker anywhere but vegas has so much to offer for entertainment. and to keep me entertained. next i want to state that im not going there to just play poker. although vegas being so entertaining and also offering the best live poker scene is why i chose to move there this winter, its not the only reason. i dont expect to go there and make 50,000 dollars playing poker and become a pro or anything like that. i will be playing 1/2 nl and allthough im pretty confident i can beat that stakes pretty regualar im not going there thinking im gonna hit it big or anything. the next reasons i guess i could use is weather 70-85 degrees and sunny everyday sounds a whole lot appealing that -20-15 degrees and snow everywhere i mean im fine with alskas weather but its deffinitely time for a change. i have so many reasons for me to move to vegas that i can put down but ill just top the list with this last one and that is that right now im young single have a free winter that might be my last before i get on fulltime with the company ive been working for and i want to live it up this winter before i get tied down. monies not going to be an issue for me i wont state how much i have im not uber rich or anything but im pretty well off. to put it another way i can easily afford a few winters in vegas without having to work. but the city is full of big time money makers so im deff. not up to their standards by any means. so those are my main reasons im mving to vegas this witner. in a nutshell it will be a really fun enjoyable and warm place and offers my hobby that i love so for me its a no brainer.

now for my new poker season goals and expectations. the main goal i have for my season of play this year is to be atleast break even the last 2 years i have lost but i have learned a great deal as well and believe that i will be able to be atleast a break even player for this season so thats really the only goal for right now. as for my expectations (guess that can go with goals as well... oh well). anyways ill just go over what im going to be doing. first im going to start getting into 24tabling also im giving myself 100 buyins at everylevel im playing at so 100 buyins up to 10nl is 1700$ i want to start off slow maybe do like 10-15 tables of 5nl untill i get use to that than work up to 24tables and then do that at 10nl and play full time at 10nl. as for live play im giving myself 20 buyins at 1/2nl so 4000$ i would feel a lot more comftoarable with 30 buyins but idk i dont really wanna put that much down this year for some reason i have money to play at the higher limits but for this year i really want to work on my play study really hard and show consistant results and try working my way up so im starting small and ill work from there which is fine by me. as far as my play goes for this year i want to earn as many fpp's this year as i can cause next year if i feel i played decent this year than i am thinking about 24 tabling 50nl and i want to make supernova next year as well. so one thing i decided if i decide to go for it is to save all my fpp's this year so that next year i jump straight into 100nl get supernoava that month as well as whatever remaining fpp's i need to get the 4,000$ bonus and then drop down to 50nl and grind from there its a pretty reasonable goal i think.

the more i think about poker and my expectations the more i notice how serious im getting about the game. i will never quit my job to play poker fulltime i get payed great have a great pensions and health benifits so unless i was making like 200k or more from poker (highly unlikely) a year im not dropping my job. but i am getting more serious about the game more and more every year. the way im talking about my future plans with poker resembles an online poker pros plans. although i dont consider myself a pro i do consider myself a regular. but my future in poker might just have me as a part time poker pro or atleast a fpp pro haha id be fine with that.
