broken soul, but not my heart
well it seems that this year wasnt a year for me i got a bunch of stuff to go over so hang on for the ride. first ill start with the bankroll i had a pretty bad last week for what i did play annnd i went from like 160 or somthin to 105 so i droped down in stakes i dont mind dropping in stakes in somthing you need to do if you want to play the game for a while. besides that though it really hurts getting beat at 10nl wtf is pretty much all i can sayim at the second lowest stakes in online now which pretty much crushes my soul but im not giving up as low as i am im not counting on rebuilding my bankroll. not to say that i wont try but at this point for me i am just going to really try and pay attention to everything and learn as much as i can before i reload in november. now for another topic. i have 85,000 fpps on stars and i figure the best way to spend them is playing the 5400 sit n gos for 215 tournament dollars or the sunday million dollar seat i just played one and actually won a seat. now heres the thing im gonna play the sunday million this one time even though its a crap shoot to win but ive always wanted to play it and nows my chance for free so im gonna play it this once. if i win any other tournament dollars from the sattalites then im gonna spend them on like the 22$ tourneys. now the reason that im spending my vpps is that im pretty sure im going to not play at pokerstars when i decide to reload. the reason for that is because when i relaod i want to be able to take advantage of rakeback and a first deposit bonus. i havent decided where i was gonna play but i was thinking doyles room or cake poker im not sure yet but when the time comes im gonna do plenty of research to make the best decision. so sorry stars it was fun while it lasted but i need every chance i can get to try and beat this game. which brings me onto another topic i was looking over another regulars blog he was playing at 1/2$ and he had trip aces on the flop and his opponent had trip 10's there were 2 dimonds on the board. they were both 250bb deep and he said if he was in his opponents shoes if there wasnt 2 dimonds on board he would be pulled more toward folding the hand with second nuts. ive played against the one guy before and hes a pretty consistant regular. to me that shows how nitty 9 handed poker has gotten its managable to beat the tables up to 25 nl but once you get to 50nl- 200nl the game becomes so solid its unbelievable and miss step you do you will leak money even if its over a long period of time. which is why i moved to 6 handed play. the swings are greater as you can tell by me loosing at 10nl but the return can be way more profitable. one thing that ive noticed is that 6 handed is getting pretty solid as well even at the lower stakes im seeing more and more better players every week. online poker is getting to a point to where its gonna be a pretty big reg. fest. thats why i think a lot of people play heads up or pl omaha because to many people are killing nl holdem and you gotta find any advantage you can to beat the game so they move to different games and different styles. as for me i like omaha but the swings are so wild sometimes that you almost have to have double your bankroll to play in it full time. same for heads up im interested in the other games out there but just not yet i want to be a decent player before moving onto somthing else. moving on to other news lol, just like i sayed im going to take this following week off of poker and really study my game, do comparrisons, and whatever else i think is necessary to improve my game. i was thinking more about it and an hour and a half after work for a week is pretty short time so if im really interested an focused i might take 2 weeks. so im about to play the sunday million who know maybe i can win a grand and be back playin id be happy with just cashing seeing how the last couple months have been but none the less im taking next week off to study. ill give results next sunday untill then better luck next time :(

whats wrong with this picture
well another week and another dissapointed poker regular to give a quick recap i started the week right around 205 i think ran it up a little and then back down then down some more im sittin on 175 right now wow this really sucks i really hope that im in a rut or somthing and that this changes eventually it would be better when if it got really good when i reloaded we'll see. but besides me being excited for the week and then my hopes crashed by another losing week i decided to take some time off. not that long just a week what i thaugt was that ill play this next week coming up and if it goes bad then im going to take the next week off and really reasses my play go over forums blogs and really put some time in to studying to see if i can find the slightest miss step to my game but you would think if im a lossing player it would be easy to spot something that makes me lose so maybe im just on the bottom part of varriance. lets hope so anyway. like i sayed i was gonna see if this next week goes good or bad to see if i take the week after that off but theni decided wether i win or not really reassesing my play and studying for a week isnt a bad idea anyway so the week after this one im gonna hunker down and hit the algebra figure of speach of course this week outside of poker has been decent and this weeknd was pretty sweet well it was only one day off but it was awesome none the less for the week it was pretty normal midnight to noon till saturday at noon. if i forgot to mention im a deck engineer on a dredge so i pretty much do mechanical work but i do plenty of different things like welding and oiling and stuff like that so yeah but work went fine and then i got off saturday and had my fishing gear already in my truck and hauled ass to the river like 160 miles away the fishing was super hot the limit is three salmon i got there and fished for a little over an hour and had my limit some guys from work were comin behind me so i waited till they got there and one hooked into one like 10 minutes after he got there so i was like alright im gonna try and sleep a little then wake up at midnight so i can catch 3 more and also so i can stay on the sleep schedule. well i laid down for a bout an hour and decided theres no way i can sleep right now so i got back in the river caught 3 more in a little over an hour again and then left real fast haha i was expecting to drive back on sunday so i was suprised i was home so early and that left me time to go out on the town for the night so i was already up for like 26 hours or somthin by time i started hittin the drinks and man that was a fun night a friend came out and we hit it up together so that was pretty cool got home and passed out around 4 i think... missed some prime opportunities last night..damn anyway im goin to try and get rid of this hangover and get to work by midnight tonight lol and then a week of poker playing and then studying so till next sunday catch ya later home skillits

to say the least
well this week has been interesting to say the least. first im back to my regular schedule at work which is midnight to noon 6 days a week wich unfortunitley doesnt give much room for poker i doo play about an hour and a half everyday though except for saturday usually cause im usually doing somthing on my day off or i should say night. besides that i tried somthing new this week i started to play 6 tables instead of 4 at the beggining of the week the negative side of varriance continued and i thaught well if its gonna go bad i might as well try and get it out of the way by playing more hands to get back to the plus side. well i found out that i can play 6 tables pretty well i thaught it was gonna be a little much but i went over my play and i actually played pretty good sometimes i just check when i could c-bet because of the tables poping up but all in all i played pretty well so unless i need to do somthing that needs my attention im going to be playing 6 tables from now on. who knows maybe ill get up to 24 one day haha jk i dont think id want to play that many probablly just like 10 at the most one day or somthing i dont know. more on the bankroll subject though i dont remember if i posted it in my last post but last weeknd i ran my roll up to 295 well by time i think monday it might of been tuesday came around i was down to 205..... even though it was 90 bucks which in terms of dollars isnt that much but in terms of buy ins which would be 9 it was an insane downswing. ive never lost so many buy ins in just one weeknd it was like 3 days actually. that was when i was playing 4 tables to thats why i went on to 6 tables. well when i started playing 6 it went pretty decent for me and i got it back up to like 247 and then it went south again and i stayed around 215 for the weeknd i didnt play that much this weeknd so it didnt move much but after tonight its at 207$. i looked over my play and watched my hands and studied from the ones that i could and theres are ocassional spots where i could slow down which im going to try and do when hands like that come up but other than those it was either just a cooler or like set over set or flush over flush or somthing i also looked at my bb/100 and its actually +2 which i was kinda shocked the most hands that i played were from the first year and a half of my play which i was still learning from and i was -2 so me being +2 shows me a couple things even though its 10nl it shows me that im actually doing somthing right and that as long as im positive and wait it out that i will be up in the end. hopefully i can keep somthing like+1.5/100 whenever i get back up to the higher stakes. the first of november is coming around pretty fast and thats the time of the year where i reload i got somthing instore though but its a suprise that ill say around the middle of october. as for my weeknd it was prett fun i was gonna go out saturday night but i changed my mind at the last minute and drove about 160 miles south to go fishing with some guys from work. we fished through the night at a couple different spots. the run was a little slow and the limit is three sockeye salmon a person but i only got one but it was still fun seeing how it was the first time fishishing this year on the rivers and the other guys i fished with didnt catch any but i left a couple hours before they did so they might of other than that it was prety decent. on a side note playing 6 tables for an hour and a half a night i can get about 700 hands in if i play the whole time wich is decent and for the week how i play i can get about 3500-4000 hands in i think so its decent ive got big expectations for this week so stay tuned to see how i do...( stay tuned lol. theres prolly one person whos read this and they probablly stumbled across it by accident lol who knows). laters

hog wash
well the weeknd was fun and dissapointing in many ways ill start with the good news. first for the most part of the weeknd i just hung out with friends on friday and saturday also played poker as well. then on sunday we loaded up 10 palats and 200 bucks worth of fireworks and went out to a riverside fourwheeling spot where people have a little fun at. so when we got there we set up our fire wich was reaching about 15 feet at its peak lol and had our music going and we were blowing some stuff up wich was going all good and was pretty fun untill two pick up trucks with fire department on them and state trooper and about 3 outher state vehicles showed up i guess its illegal to burn palats where i was burning them hahaha the cop was cool though and told us once they put it out try and get the most nails we could out of the fire (which we basically just left there) since the nails were the biggest problem with the fire and it was illegal to set off fireworks where we were at so he only took the ones we were about to set off but let us keep all the rest as he made he way to about 50 other groups lighting off their fireworks and not showing any disregard for flashing lights lol. so we took the rest of the firework back to town and proceeded to wake everyone up in the middle of the night it was a pretty fun night though pretty eventfull and my ear is still ringing from it for some reason... i hope that doesnt mean hearing loss. now for the bad news. in my last post which was on thursday i think i ended the session at 295$ well while i was writing the blog i lost a buy in and ended the day at 285$ which was pretty sweet seeing as how all of june was pretty sucky well i knew it would be pretty easy to get to 300 which is where i would start playing 25nl that is if the cards would have just been in my favor a little bit. i can think of 3 spots where i was a 85 percent favorite or better and got rivered and lost a buy in over it all 3 times, and i also had to lay down 2 or 3 big hands in some spots. talk about variance. so i ended the weeknd at 242$ so just a little of 5 buy in loss. although i lost that much this weeknd for the past month ive pretty much broke even through all my swings which is better than not losing. but its still 10nl and the games are very exploitable and im certain if i just wait out the variance of the game ill be at 25nl pretty soon hopefully. i also went over my play for the weeknd to see if i mad any major accidents i could really only remember one spot where i could have slowed down in a hand and probablly folded if i would have take a decent amount of time to think about it so i could have avoided losing that buy in. another thing that i was thinking of which is kind of off my subject is about pros that play live and online first theres guys online that have been playing 24 tables for 3 or 4 years steadily and have played about 3 million hands no exaggeration and they have made between 25-75 thousand from it. they have also made a lot of money from bonuses and everything else along the way but from the actuall poker part of it thats all theyve made. now the pros that play live they might only be able to play2 million hands if that in their whole career say if they played for 30 years straight and the really succesfull ones are making 100s of thousands of dollars a year so that kinda tells me that online poker is way more difficult and is played more straight forward and takes longer to win a large amount of money even though you play so many hands. it also tells me that live poker is very beatable and super profitable even though you dont play that many hands. one thing that people do only though that they cant do live is multi table the online pros and regs would rather play 24 tables of 1/2 nl or .50/1 then say 4-8 tables of 3/6$ - 25/50 $ and the reason for that is that the higher level games although more money involved arnt as profitabale if they mass table the lower levels and recieve better results with fewer swings so even though there are a select few like durrrr and nanonoko who have made a million and in durrrrs defense 7 million playing online its just not a super fast way to get a huge bankroll going for yourself im not saying you cant im just saying with all the hands people are able to play online it takes a while to get a steady and decent roll going much longer than it would seem in a live game but there are pros and cons to both sides of the poker world and i cant wait to november when i move and ill be able to play live as well ill continue more on that subject around the middle of october with a suprise. later

june results
well i wasnt going to do a june recap untill after the weeknd but seeing as how tonight turned out as it did i thaught i should log it well to start off i started june in the middle of a downswing i started june with 23o$ i think is what it was and with that downswing it fell to like 180 or somthing like that thin i got it back up to like 240 in the next 2 weeks and then it fell very fast to like 160 which felt horrible i felt like my play was crappy which it probablly wasnt that bad but i did make some adjustments whether they needed to be made or not. well i had a 50$ bonus saved up so i used that cause i didnt want to have another down fall and have to move down stakes so i used it and it put me back to 210$ well i stayed there for about a week or somthing kinda fell to 200$ but stayed right around there. and this last week has been pretty sweet ive been on a heater this week and i was just at 297$ but just lost a couple pots and im at 290$ ive one every day this week so far so when i get to 300$ im moving up in stakes today was pretty intense i started at 265 and i fell to 230 so i thaught it wasnt going good but as it turns out i won 6 buy ins in the next 2.5 hours so that was fun. so this win streak deffinitly feels like how 10nl is supposed to be im pretty sure this month was just a bad month with a lot of swings but i kept my head up and kept grinding so soon ill be able to play 25nl. people usually wait till they have 20 buy ins at a certain level before they take a shot at it but i just go with 15 buy ins. it gives me more chances to move up but i also move down when i have 20 buy ins at the next lowest level so i play it safe there moving up to 25nl is a little different cause 15 buy ins would be at 375 but its the only level thats like that ive done it before before i started this blog and ive won while starting at 300 it also helps to run good when you move up in stakes so hopefully everything will go right and i can get somthing going again. well im going to try and win this last 10$ so i can move up so ill get going now. also ill probablly do a post on monday or tuesday because of the 4th just to let all the people i know that arnt reading this know lol hahah. laters
