ive got plenty to talk about this post but it should go pretty quick.
i will start with poker. i didnt start playing poker until wednesday because of the new years weeknd and i kind of just relaxed on tuesday. wednesday was also the day of the wsopc event #1 at the bicycle casino it was a good deepstack tournament. 40min blinds and 30k starting stack. buy in was 345$ and it attracted 275 players. in the first 3 levels i played pretty good. my table was super soft and i knew i was going to be able to take advantage of them in the deeper stages of the tourney. i made it to the 4th level when a new player sat to my left.
he seemed like an ok player but i wasnt affraid by any means. a couple orbits after he sat down we got into a hand where i had AQ and the flop came A 7 5 i bet he called. the turn was a 9 bringing a back door flush draw. i bet and he raised and i called. i felt like he was making a move there where so many combo draws in his hand and one pair hands that either picked up a straight draw, flushdraw or both. the river was an offsuit 2 and he shoved and i called and he showed A7 suited. looking back on it. i really could have laid it down on the turn and to be honest i feel like i get away from that spot 8 out of 10 times to make matters worse we were 150bbs deep. so yeah i made a rookie mistake. the same day i went and played some 5/5nl and dropped 500 so that was fun. the next 2 days i made 800 i think so pretty close to a break even week. im thinking about playing 2 or 3 more events maybe one in this next week.
daygame was pretty interesting we only went out yesterday but i did really well the first 4 girls i talked to i got their numbers and after that i probably talked to 6-8 more girls but no numbers.
i texted them all and only 1 replied but looking back on it i didnt think the interactions were that solid in the first place so i thought they all would've flaked. also most of the girls that i have been texting kind of fizzled out except for a couple but since everyone was busy for the holidays i kinda expected it to go that way.
since new years was on monday the life category was pretty fun and i had a couple extra spices thrown in as well. so we went to the electronic dance concert on new years which was awesome and a lot of fun.
i danced with a few girls and talked to a few others but i really wasnt there to try and get a girl so i didnt have any expectations to meet any. after we got home i got a text from a girl i had been texting and she wanted to meet up. we were going to meet up for dessert but it was closed so we just hung out in her car and talked for like 30 min. and i gave her a couple kisses. then we met up again a few days later and got smoothies and i gave her a couple more kisses. and last night she came over for about an hour... she could only stay for an hour so i didnt want to pressure her into sex and i wanted her to get comftorable at my place for the next time she came over. we snuggled a little bit and kissed some more and that was it. were going on a date tomorrow and if she comes over afterwards then i think sparks will fly. the girl is an ex ballet dancer and i found out she used to teach the dance moves to some big performances and shows in LA but now she does other stuff. shes got a rockin body though and shes pretty cool. unfortunitley she is supposed to move in a month out of state so theres a good chance that i wont see her after that.
everything else seems to be going decent. poker seems to be about break even for the last couple of weeks so hopefully it will turn around. and at the moment ive got a head cold and feel kind of crappy but things are going good. so untill next time cosmonauts, stay tuned :)
